Catherine A Edelson, like many who practice more or less unconventional professions has an eclectic background and unconscious penchant to explore things that do not always find logical explanations or easily replicated in laboratories.

She grew up in Paris France and few other countries where she studied and worked in Art, Psychology Advertising and Communications. She holds a MA in Communications and studied Psychology at SFSU and Stanford (Art therapy, Abnormal Psychology and the Psychology of Peak Performance.) She also free-lanced as an illustrator in San Francisco and created various artworks, a documentary on Paul Gauguin and a few motivational videos in sales and marketing for various corporations.

Driven by distraction from life’s curb balls she decided to focus on being a better P (person-parent-professional) and after numerous trainings and certifications in Coaching (ICF) ADHD Coaching, Hypnosis (NGH) Integrative Hypnosis, NLP and EFT (NY, Boston, Palm Beach) she created Functional Hypnosis where she integrates all these modalities (including Power of 8 groups) to help her clients better function in their lives, minds, bodies and spirit. She is also certified by the NADP as a CDS (certified divorce specialist) to better serve her clients that are divorcing.
